1. Minutes of the last meeting
The minutes of the last meeting were thought to be an accurate record of the previous meeting.
Matters arising
Scheme dinner
The same venue as last year has been booked. It was agreed to book Sally's band if possible. 7.30pm start and bar arrangements as last year. Excess liquid refreshment from the bar could be used at Fellside. The RCGP Faculty Board had expressd an interest in this event, and it was agreed to invite board members. The Board will be invited to make a contribution to the event.
Mentoring
Lucy has agreed to take on the running of this system in 2008-9, as part of her ITP in medical education. Feedback from the first year was positive. The issue of confidentiality in terms of the COs knowing who was mentoring who was not seen as important. Lucy will liaise with Sylvia.
E portfolio
Educators must go back and sign off the previous educational supervisors report in the eportfolio (an additional box was added at the bottom of the report and this must be completed before it is visible to the ARCP panel)
RCGP representation
Lucy represented the Scheme at the last Faculty Board. The Board were responsive and interested in the views of AiTs. They wish to present MRCGP certificates to successful candidates at the Branston lecture. Lucy reported that the Board
- would make courses more accessible to AiTs by earlier advertising
- reduce the cost of courses for AiTs
- fund and organise an official CSA course in Cumbria
There is significant funding for AiT projects - Lucy and Jo can take forward any iseas to the Board. "Fellside for all" was considered.

This will occur on the 24 September at 2pm. The scheme reps agreed to attend, along with any other interested GPRs
ARCP panels
Experience in this round so far is that all of the requirements must be fulfilled ie all COTs CbDs PSQs MSFs as appropriate, some DOPS attempted, all the declarations signed off, etc.
