1. Minutes of the last meeting

The minutes of the last meeting were thought to be an accurate record of the previous meeting.

Matters arising

Scheme dinner

There remains a credit of £18.50

The plans for 2008 were discussed. The next event will be held on Fri 3 October 2008, suggested £20 per person payable in advance, under 16's free. The venue is yet to be decided and booked. Harri is leading on this event.

Mentoring

The project is currently being evaluated, and the results published. Continuation of the mentoring scheme will depend on evaluation of the feedback.

E portfolio

The roadmap is the easiest way to follow what happens when in the nMRCGP for ECVTS. The Scheme will revisit the issue of the educational supervision interview with trainers at a trainer workshop. Information of the process will be posted on the website.

RCGP representation

Lucy and Jo have agreed to represent the Scheme at the RCGP faculty board. They will consider a presentation to the board of the current changes in GP training as it affects GPRs, and what they think the faculty can do for associates in training (AiTs).

2. Agenda items

Scheme website

Feedback is requested on the new website from GPRs. All ideas for development welcome. We hope to include electronic forms for feedback about posts in the next few months.

Team building event

This went well, was useful and the feedback positive. The Scheme should consider including Year 1 in this event next year.

Course organisers

John Anderson retires as a CO at the end of this month. Karen and Brad will take up the increased work and it is hoped that a new CO will be appointed in the autumn.

Recruitment

Recruitment at a deanery level has now been completed. There was a significant input by GPRs and ex GPRs from the Scheme as asssessors
