1. O & G Rota

• As interim measure

• Cancelled Weds am activities - swapped to GPRs coming in Weds pm only
• Current SpRs are supportive of GPRs going to training
• Change for future update
• Aquired extra F2 post - starting in August
• Rota will be 1:6
• Dr Munjuluri is lead consultant in department for this with Chris Carrol from HR

 2.  Afternoon tea

• Unfortunately Deanery can no longer fund this
• As a scheme, we feel half-time tea break is important
• To network

• Cold drinks only
• Using kettle to boil water
• Filling our own flasks is not possible
• Look into direct arrangement with Interserve
• GPRs would need to take responsibility for this and open their own joint bank account

 UPDATE (during meeting):  Interserve are willing to provide hot water in a flask free of charge in short term.  Scheme also has supply of tea and coffee available for short term.

3. Eligibility to sit exams

• Rules state not eligible to apply for AKT in ST1.  As starting in October, uncertainty about when ECVTS GPRs transition from ST1 to ST2 as eportfolio cannot account for late start.
• To account for this, ECVTS defines scheme as “out of post” for first 2 months then ST1 from October until August, therefore ST2 starts  in August
• Confirmation that this is acceptable has been received from Deanery central

 4. Reunion

• 2nd July
• Approx. 50 people have confirmed
• We know there are more people who are planning to come
• Please encourage everyone you know to confirm if they are coming

 5. Leadership development course

• After discussion within the TPD team, the leadership development programme which was started as a 2 day residential in Borrowdale is going to be incorporated into the HDR programme
• The reasons for this are
• to ensure that as many GPRs are able to benefit as possible, and we recognised that with on call, family and other commitments attendance at a 2 day residential is unrealistic for some GPRs
• to allow time for GPRs to gain knowledge which they can use to gain experience throughout their time on the scheme
• to eliminate problems with funding whilst continuing to deliver  this important element of the curriculum
• The first session of the programme will be 29/6/201

 6.  Scheme name

• We are thinking about changing the scheme name
• National policy is to have "GP Training" in the title
• Recruitment has been lower than previously this year
• Other local schemes have changed names and getting better numbers
• Is this coincidence?

• Subgroup of RCGP International Committee
• Hannah Kenyon and Carolyn Rigg attended
• Forum for GPs with interest in international primary care
• CR is participating in European based exchange programme (Hippokrates)
• Big waiting list of European GP trainees wanting to come to UK
• Looking to recruit practices willing to take one trainee per year
• 2 week long exchange
• Organised by local RCGP faculty

Accommodation is arranged by practice receiving the overseas GPR
