About the practice
This is a semi-rural practice based in PCT owned prmises with a list size of almost 16,000. We are very much part of a typical farming community.
The Practice has recently commenced an Integrated Training Post (ITP) in pre-hospital emergency care where doctors participate in the local BASICS Scheme, the Air Ambulance and A & E at Carlisle. We also take F2 doctors and medical students from Newcastle Medical School.
The practice is fully computerised with an EMIS system. We actively undertake minor surgery and health promotion clinics, as well as running diabetic, asthma, COPD and well person clinics. We also employ a Nurse Practitioner and four salaried GPs.
