Tips for when someone else is Supervising your GPR

by Brad Cheek last modified 25-08-2010 18:12

What to tell your GPR:

  1. Make sure whoever supervises your OOH shift fills in the COPEG sheet for each OOH shift http://www.rcgp-curriculum.org.uk/nmrcgp/wpba/out_of_hours.aspx.
  2. Please bring back anonymised 'Astra' print outs of each patient encounter
  3. Please make sure you make a seperate e-portfolio entry after each shift - this will be a documentation of your OOH shifts for your ARCP review
  4. Please provide your trainer with the name and contact details for your OOH clinical superviser - please warn your superviser that the trainer may contact him/her for some feedback on your performance.

As a trainer you might like to use the RCGP website tick list for OOH feedback when speaking to the doctor who supervised the shift. This will ensure standardization and ensure that all areas are covered when requesting feedback on your GPR performance during the OOH shift.
